Immersed in action, DEV sought a simple and effective tool to promote local purchasing and exploration in the region. They chose Hello, notably for its innovative and eco-friendly character.
When DEV decided to launch a campaign to boost local purchasing during the festive season, they knew they needed a tool that was both simple, quick to implement, and attractive to the local population and businesses. Hello quickly emerged as the ideal solution. Its easy deployment, without the need to modify merchants’ point-of-sale systems, was a major advantage. This simplicity allowed merchants to join the campaign without any hassle, thereby enhancing enthusiasm and solidarity within the local community.
The launch of the Buy Local campaign was a resounding success. In just three days, the incentives offered as part of the campaign were sold out, demonstrating the enthusiasm and massive support of the population for local businesses.
Even starting with a modest budget, it’s surprising to see these results. Over 1000 citizens actively participated in the initiative, thus boosting the local economy with an impact of 77,000$, distributed among over 120 local businesses. Among these establishments, the most favored business categories were restaurants and bars, leisure and getaways, and food and groceries.
Inspired by this success, DEV decided to go even further for the year 2024. They chose to collaborate again with Hello to launch a new initiative: a local gift card. This card will allow residents of Vaudreuil-Soulanges to offer the perfect gift while supporting the local economy throughout the year. This new solution is in line with DEV’s commitment to local purchasing and the promotion of businesses in the region.
Thanks to their partnership with Hello, DEV has not only succeeded in boosting the local economy but has also strengthened ties within the region. Their story is a concrete example of how effective collaboration and innovative initiatives can have a lasting positive impact.
